Growing up by the Red Sea, I had the privilege to dive, surf, and sail daily, which made me fascinated by the complexity of ocean processes. That interest naturally led me to pursue a career path that evolved from professional sea-related occupations such as diving and sailing instructor, hydrographic surveyor, dredging master, and ROV pilot; to academic interests - from oceanography to marine electromagnetic geophysics. In my free time, I enjoy yacht race sailing, kitesurfing, free diving, playing the bass, and writing music. I believe that scientific innovation comes from thinking horizontally, breaking the boundaries between disciplines.
