Prior to my academic career, I worked as an ROV Pilot/Technician for Oceaneering in West Africa, Asia, and Mediterranean. Flying hours: 150 hours of flying experience with work-class Magnum ROV on deep sea drill support operations (water depths of 3000-5000 meters). My duties included electrical/hydraulic system maintenance and fault finding, ROV launch and recovery, spading operation, BOP latch and inspection, hot-stabbing, operating various subsea tooling.
