Growing up by the sea, I had the privilege to dive, surf and sail on a daily basis, which made me fascinated by the complexity of ocean processes. That interest naturally led me to pursue a career path that evolved from professional sea related occupations such as diving & sailing instructor, hydrographic surveyor, dredging master, and ROV pilot; to academic interests - from oceanography to marine electromagnetic geophysics. In my free time, I enjoy yacht race sailing, kitesurfing, free diving, playing the bass and writing music. My motto is that scientific innovation comes from constantly pushing the boundaries, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone frequently…
